JAMIE BEECHER NAMED TEMPLE UNIVERSITY STUDENT-ATHLETE WOMAN OF THE YEAR FOR 2001

Philadelphia- Jaime Beecher, a member of the Temple University fencing team was named the Temple University Student-Athlete Woman of the Year for 2001.

Beecher, a native of Brentwood, N.Y. and an education major, capped off her career with Temple with a 149-39 career foil record. She also qualified for the NCAA championships all four years of college.

Along with her fencing accomplishments, Beecher also had a high level of academic achievement.
