PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University volleyball team (8-2) beat the Rhode Island Rams three games to none on Friday night, September 21, 2001 at McGonigle Hall. The games scores were 30-27, 30-13 and 30-27.

Sophomore outside hitter Liu Shu led the way for the Owls with 13 kills and 10 digs on the night. Fellow sophomore outside hitter Yamit Haba added another 10 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore middle blocker Margaret Majewska led the team with five blocks and junior setter had 35 assists.

The Rhode Island Rams were led by sophomore setter Mary Kate Reardon with seven kills, nine digs and one block.

Next up for the Owls is the University of Massachusetts on Saturday, September 22 at 4 p.m.
