Volleyball Receives AVCA’s 2026 Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Thursday the Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year.
"It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award this season," said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "We are grateful for the dedication for the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs."
Temple is part of a cohort of 1,432 other collegiate and high school programs that maintained a year-long team GPA of at least a 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
The Owls finished the 2025-26 academic year with a team cumulative GPA of 3.63. 18 of the 19 student-athletes on the team last season recorded a 3.0 GPA of higher.
