TEMPLE VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS THROUGH DAY ONE OF TEMPLE INVITATIONAL

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple volleyball team (4-2) played the role of rude hosts in day one of the Temple Invitational as it swept Lehigh (2-3) in the opening match three games to none and Delaware (2-3) in the second of consecutive matches three games to none. The game scores were 30-18, 30-22 and 30-26 against Lehigh and 30-19, 30-26, and 30-23 against Delaware.
Sophomore outside hitter Yamit Haba led Temple with 16 kills vs. the Mountainhawks and 17 kills vs. the Blue Hens. Junior outside hitter Sara Stone had 16 kills against Lehigh and nine kills against Delaware. Sophomore middle blocker Margaret Majewska added 19 kills over the two matches.
Next up for the Owls, day two of the Temple Invitational with two more matches. The Owls face St. Peter's at noon and then face Villanova in the finale at 4:00 p.m.
