MEN'S AND WOMEN'S CREW ROW TO VICTORY AT THE FROSTBITE REGATTA

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University men's and women's crew raced to victory at the Frostbite Regatta held on November 10, 2001, placing first in four of their eight races. Both teams scored in the top five in the remainder of their events.

The women's novice eight and the women's varsity four placed first in their races with times of 8:58.1 and 9:04.02 respectively. Boat "A" of the women's varsity 8 finished 4th with a time of 8:31.21while boat "B" placed 5th with a time of 9:25.37.

In men's action, varsity four boats "A" and "B" both placed first in their races with a time of 8:11.29 and 8:07.45 respectively. The varsity eight placed second with a time of 6:28.23 while the novice eight placed third in 7.55.01minutes. Finally, the novice four placed second with a time of 9.12.02.
