WOMEN'S FENCING RANKED TENTH IN NATIONAL POLL

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University women's fencing team (8-2) is currently ranked tenth among division one women's fencing teams according to the United States Fencing Coaches Association poll released today, January 22, 2002. At the end of the 2000-01 season, the Owls were ranked seventh. So far this year, Temple is 1-2 against ranked teams (Northwestern, Notre Dame and Ohio State). The top ten teams in the poll are as follows:

2. Notre Dame

3. Penn State

4. Stanford

5. Princeton

6. Northwestern

Ohio State.

8. Yale

9. Columbia-Barnard
