OWLS WIN BIG AT THE PRINCETON CHASE

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University men's crew had a big win at the Princeton Chase this past weekend, October 28, 2001 when they placed first in the men's heavyweight four with a time of 14:34.42. The Owls defeated crew powerhouses such as Princeton, Georgetown and Cornell.

Temple's second boat ("B") placed 8th in the heavyweight four with a time of 15:28.24 while the varsity 8 placed 6th with a time of 13:19.45.

Next up for the Owls is the Frostbite Regatta on November 10, 2001 in Philadelphia, Pa.
