TEMPLE'S XU YUN REPEATS AS ATLANTIC 10 VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA -- Junior outside hitter Xu Yun of the Temple volleyball team picked up her second consecutive Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honor for keeping Temple undefeated in conference action with a 2-0 record this past week. Yun posted a .403 hitting percentage with 42 kills in 91swings with just 13 errors, recorded 31 digs, two aces and two blocks in the Owls' two road matches this past weekend. She recorded back-to-back double-double performances with 16 kills and 13 digs in a 3-1 win over Duquesne on Oct. 4 and she had game-highs of 26 kills and 18 digs in the 3-1 win against George Washington on Oct. 5. Yun also had a game-high hitting percentage of .468 against the Colonials. On the week the Shanghai, China native averaged 5.25 kills per game and 3.87 digs per game. The Owls, who raised their record to 13-5 overall and 5-0 in the Atlantic 10, next play host to William & Mary on Monday, October 14 at McGonigle Hall. Match time is 5:00 p.m.
