Yun dominated the opposition in helping lead Temple to a 13-1 conference record, the regular season Atlantic 10 title and the top seed in this weekend's Atlantic 10 Volleyball Championship. The Shanghai, China native is the conference leader with a 4.48 kills per game average and is third in digs with a 3.50 average. In Atlantic 10 play, Yun averaged 4.98 kills and 3.53 digs per game. The four-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Week selection is the first Owl to be selected as the conference Player of the Year since Alma Kovaci in 1999.
Runk set things up for Yun's heavy hitting. The Lititz, Pa. native is second in the conference with an 11.61 assists per game average. In Atlantic 10 only action, Runk raised her average to 12.35 assists per game. She is also third on the Owls in service aces with 26 and fifth on the team in blocks with 42.
Bertucci earns his third Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year honor. He guided the Owls to a 23-6 overall mark including a 13-1 conference record. Bertucci previously earned Coach of the Year honors in 1997 and 1999. This weekend he will be looking to win his fourth Atlantic 10 Tournament crown in the last seven years. In his eight years at Temple, Bertucci's teams have won over 73 percent of their games (184-67). His overall record is 536-257.
