OWLS VOLLEYBALL TO FACE GATORS IN REGIONAL SEMIFINAL ACTION

GAINSVILLE, FLA. -- The Temple University women's volleyball team (29-6) will face #5 Florida in the second of two regional semifinal games tonight, December 13, 2002 at the University of Florida's O'Connell Center. Match time is approximately 6:00 p.m. and can be heard live on www.gatorzone.com

The Owls defeated Manhattan and #15 Penn State in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament to advance to the regional championships. This is the first team in the history of the Temple volleyball program to advance to the "sweet 16".

If Temple defeats Florida, they will play the winner of the other regional semifinal game between Washington State and Northern Iowa tomorrow night, December 14, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.
