OWLS TAKE 16-6 THUMPING AT THE HANDS OF ROLLINS COLLEGE

The Temple Owls got off to a good start by scoring two runs in the first, but two six-run innings by Rollins College produced the Owls sixth lose in seven outings. The Owls (1-6) were held to their lowest hit total of the young season.
With the score tied at 3-3 in the fifth, Rollins scored six runs off eventual loser, Matt Powell (1-1).
The Owls were held in check by winning pitcher, Mike Bridges (2-1), who went five-plus innings allowing just one earned run.
The Owls scored a run in the eighth and an Al Roach two-run homer rounded out the scoring for the Owls.
