MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TRACK COMPETE AT HAMPTON RELAYS

The relays team of Aderonke Adeniyi, Naomi Beverly, Samantha Porter and LaShawn Martinez captured first place in the 4X100 and the 4X200 with times of 48.75 and 1:42.19 respectively. Relay team "B" which included Rachel Clinton, Dreamer Patterson, Ashley Holiday and Jaweia Campbell placed sixth in the 4X100 while the relay team "B" of Jessica Dunston, Farren Benson, LaShawn Martinez and Dreamer Patterson came in fifth in the 4X200. In the 4X4, Ruby Amanze, Farren Benson, Chanel Dale, Samantha Porter finished second with a time of 4:00.10. Temple also took second place in the Women's Distance Medley with a time of 13:16.77. The team consisted of Jessica Dunston, Kerrie Stepnick, Laura Alps and Tanesha Shelton. In the final relay of the day, the shuttle hurdle relay team of Jaweia Campbell, Rachel Clinton, Jessica Dunston and Ashley Holiday placed second with a time of 1:02.54.
In the indivdual events, freshman Ashley Holiday placed seventh in the long jump with a distance of 5.02 meters. In the shot put, Rasheida Stamps placed third with a distance of 36-10.00.
In men's action, the 4X100 relay team of Andrew Sterling, Dale Letterlough, Otis Hudson and Bryant Adams placed first with a time of 42.60 and placed second in the 4X200 with a time of 1:28.76. The 4X400 team of Dale Letterlough, Otis Hudson, Bryant Adams and Jonathon Albright finished in third place with a time of 3:19.78. In the indivudual events, Craig Henry finished in fourth place with a distance of 6.31 while freshman Dwayne Shaw placed seventh with a distance of 6.17.
Next up for the Owls are the NC State Raleigh relays in Raleigh, North Carolina.
