LEITE-YOUNG NAMED ATLANTIC 10 MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD PERFORMER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University junior Robert Leite-Young was today (April 15, 2002) named the Atlantic 10 Men's Track and Field Performer of the Week for the week ending April 14, 2002.

At the Columbia Invitational this past weekend, April 13, 2002, Leite-Young placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 48-11 3/4, tops in the Atlantic 10 and surpassing the IC4A qualifying mark by more than twenty inches. The Owls also placed sixth in the long jump with a mark of 22 1/4.

Letie-Young and the rest of the Temple Owls will attempt to beat their best marks this weekend, April 20 at the Morgan State Relays.
