MEN'S VARSITY EIGHT TAKES FIRST PLACE AT GEORGETOWN INVITATIONAL

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University men's crew placed first place in varsity 8 with a time of 5:36.7 at the Georgetown Invitational for Big East Schools on Sunday, April 28, 2002 on the Potomac River.

Temple's 2nd varsity 8 took second place with a time of 5:52.7, just .09 of a second behind Syracuse who finished with a time of 5:51.8. The men's varsity four also took second place with a time of 6:40.8.

Next up for the Owls is the Dad Vail Regatta on May 10 and 11. The Cherry and White will be looking for their 14th straight Dad Vail victory in the men's varsity 8.
