YUN EARNS ATLANTIC 10 VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

PHILADELPHIA - Senior outside hitter Xu Yun was named the Atlantic 10 Volleyball Player of the Week, it was announced on October 20. Yun helped the Owls go undefeated in A-10 play over the weekend with two double-doubles and an impressive .406 hitting percentage. The Shanghai, China native averaged 4.9 kills per game and 4.3 digs per game. She posted 14 kills and 13 digs in a three-game sweep of George Washington on Oct. 17 to move past the Colonials and into second place in the standings and followed that effort with 20 kills and 17 digs in defeating Duquesne, 3-1, on Oct. 18. This is the first Player of the Week honor for Yun this season. She was the 2002 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year.
