SNOW CANCELS DOUBLEHEADER AT GEORGE WASHINGTON

Spring time weather turned ugly in our nation's capitol as snow cancelled a re-scheduled doubleheader between Skip Wilson's Temple Owls and George Washington on Sunday afternoon.

Rain had forced the postponement of the scheduled doubleheader on Saturday, which was re-scheduled for Sunday. The three-game series between the two teams has been postponed altogether at this time with no makeup date scheduled. If no makeup date is scheduled, the Owls will now play a 21-game Atlantic 10 Conference schedule instead of the scheduled 24-game slate.

Weather permitting, the Owls will take on Penn on Tuesday afternoon at Veterans Stadium in the second round of the 2003 Liberty Bell Classic. First pitch is slated for 3:00 p.m.
