JOHN QUIGLEY NAMED TO ATLANTIC 1O ALL-CONFERENCE BASEBALL SECOND TEAM

Temple centerfielder John Quigley was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference baseball second team, it was announced today by the Conference. The junior outfielder hails from Bensalem, Pennsylvania.

Quigley led the Owls in batting with a .361 average, in home runs with 14 and in runs batted in with 39. He also led all Atlantic 10 Conference outfield nominees with 14 home runs. He played in 42 of Temple's 47 games and had 15 multi-hit games.

In conference play, Quigley batted .318 with 21 hits in 66 at-bats. He had six doubles and three home runs. In the field, the junior committed just one error.

Quigley has a career batting average of .334 with 52 hits in 326 at-bats. He currently has 20 home runs, which ties him for 11th with Rod Schenk on Temple's all-time home run list.

The Owls completed their season with an overall record of 20-27. They finished tied for fourth in the Atlantic 10 East Division with Saint Joseph's. Both teams ended the season with a 10-14 conference record.
