TEMPLE ROWER MARC STEPHENS A MEMBER OF VISITORS CUP-WINNING CREW AT THE ROYAL HENLEY

Marc Stephens, a Temple sophomore oarsman from Galway, Ireland, was a member of the National University of Ireland, Galway & Skibbereen Rowing Club crew that won the Visitors Cup Challenge at the Henley Royal Regatta on Sunday, July 6.

Stephens, teamed with fellow countrymen Forde, Giblin and Martin, rowed to victory by defeating Cambridge University by one length in the coxless four event on the Thames River in England.

Stephens, a member of Temple's varsity heavyweight eight crew that re-captured the Dad Vail Regatta crown under head coach Gavin White in 2003, will next compete in the Under 23 Championships in Belgrade, Yugoslavia before traveling to Milan, Italy to compete in the World Championships August 24-31.
