Chapel Hill, N. C. -- In its collective mind the Temple volleyball team (0-3, 0-0 A-10) certainly isn't going to Carolina as it ended its visit to the North Carolina Invitational with a three games to none loss to host 20th ranked North Carolina on Saturday August 30. The game scores were 14-30, 22-30 and 15-30.

Sophomore outside hitter Stephanie Buynovsky (Wyomissing Hills, Pa./Wyomissing) led the Temple attack with a match-high 16 kills and was the only Owl to record double-digit kill numbers . Junior setter Alison Runk (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) tallied 35 assists for Temple. Freshman Linsey Morningstar (Lawrence, Kansas/Lawrence Free State) was named to the all-tournament team for her stellar all-around play.

Dani Nyenhuis (11 kills) led a balanced Tar Heel attack. As a team, North Carolina out-hit Temple .356 to .106.

The Owls remain on the invite list as they will next travel to Columbus, Ohio for the Ohio State Invitational beginning Friday, September 5.
