MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD PLACES FOURTH IN COVERT CLASSIC

Lehigh, Pa.- Dale Letterlough led the Temple men's track and field team to a fourth place finish with a score of 56 in a seven-team field at the Covert Classic on Saturday January 31 in Lehigh, Pa. Lehigh the host school, won the meet with a score of 220.

Letterlough won the 400-meter dash in a time of 51.07 seconds and finished the 60-meter dash in sixth place (7.27).

Craig Nelson placed third in the 400-meter dash in 51.48 seconds and Jon Albright earned seventh place (52.37). Corey Simmons captured second in the triple jump with a leap of 14.10 meters and teammate Dwayne Shaw placed fourth with a jump measured at 12.60 meters. Shaw also captured fourth in the long jump (6.72) and was named the "Performer of the Week" by the coaching staff.

Bryant Adams placed sixth in the 500 meters crossing the tape in 1:09.30 seconds. Wendell Raulston, Jr. and Brian Reed placed seventh and eighth in the high jump.
