PHILADELPHIA - Freshman Yue Liu led the Owls with a match-high 25 kills and added 13 digs for her third straight double-double as the Temple volleyball team defeated La Salle, three games to one on October 12 at McGonigle Hall. The game scores were 28-30, 30-19, 30-18 and 30-25. With the win, the Owls improve to 4-1 in conference play and gain a share of the A-10 lead.
Zhen Jia Liu (14 kills, 14 digs), Ying Sun Ling (11 kills, 19 digs) and Christina DeMarco (11 kills). Setter Alison Runk had a match-high 59 assists and 11 digs for the Owls.
Kristen Kelsey (14 kills, 13 digs) led La Salle. Samantha Takacs had 11 kills for the Explorers. Setter Amanda Woods paced La Salle (7-14, 0-5 A-10) with 43 assists.
Temple (7-13, 4-1 A-10) will next host Fordham on Friday, October 15. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
