YUE LIU GARNERS LEAGUE-LEADING FOURTH ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman OH Yue Liu earned her league-leading fourth Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week citation after helping guide the Owls to a perfect 3-0 week. The native of Tian Jing, China averaged 4.73 kills per game as Temple wrapped up the third-seed in this weekend's Atlantic 10 Tournament at Duquesne. The Cherry and White take on second-seeded Xavier on Friday at 8 p.m.
Yue Liu began the week with 18 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 sweep over La Salle on Tuesday and followed with identical 17-kill, seven-dig outings at Rhode Island (Friday) and Fordham (Saturday). For the week, she hit .273 and averaged 2.18 digs and 0.6 blocks per game.
The rookie leads the team in hitting percentage (.272) and is second in kills/game (3.71). Temple, which qualified for the A-10s for the ninth straight year, is 14-16 overall and 11-3 in the conference.
