WOMEN'S FENCING RANKED EIGHTH IN NATIONAL POLL

PHILADELPHIA -- The Temple University women's fencing team is currently ranked eighth among Division I women's fencing teams according to the second poll of the year by United States Fencing Coaches Association. At the end of the 2002-03 season, the Owls were ranked seventh among women's teams.

The Owls will take a three-week undefeated streak to Cornell this weekend to battle three other teams in the top ten. Temple will face Cornell, Penn State (2), Columbia (4) and Penn (5) on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m.

The top 10 teams in the poll are:
1. Notre Dame
2. Ohio State
Penn State
4. Columbia-Barnard
5. Pennsylvania
6. Northwestern
7. Princeton
8. Temple
9. Harvard
10. St. John's (NY)
