PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Temple baseball home opener at Temple's Ambler Field will have to wait just a couple of more days. Recent weather conditions have made the field unplayable and an extra couple of days should have baseball's new home ready for the game against Pace on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.

"The new field is just a little too soft because of the recent weather. We are hoping by moving the Philadelphia University and Penn games to their fields it will give our new field a few more days to dry out," said head coach Ship Wilson who gained his 1,000th career victory on Sunday against Manhattan.

Tomorrow's game will be held at Philadelphia University. First pitch is slated for 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday's game will be played at the University of Pennsylvania beginning at 3:00 p.m.

The Owls, weather permitting, will now open up their new field on Thursday afternnon against Pace University. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

Temple had a very respectable 6-5 record while just completing their spring trip in South Florida. The Owls participated in the Papa John Homestead Challenge against the likes of Maine, Evansville, Pittsburgh and Florida International University.
