CRAIG HENRY LEADS MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD IN QUAKER INVITATIONAL

PHILADELPHIA-Craig Henry captured first in the triple jump, third in the long jump and earned sixth place in the 100-meter dash. The Temple men's track team competed in the Quaker Invitational at historic Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday March 20. The meet, was the season opener for the Owls' 2004 outdoor season and was a non-team scoring for competition.

Henry leaped 13.77 meters in winning the triple jump and 6.25 meters in the long jump to earn a third place finish. Jon Albright placed second in the 110-meter hurdles (14.86). Dwayne Shaw placed third in the triple jump and Steve Johnson earned third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.14. The 4x800 relay team placed second (9.03) and 4x100 relay squad placed fourth with a time of 44.27.

The Owls will next compete in the Raleigh Relays on March 27 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
