CRAIG HENRY CAPTURES EIGHTH PLACE IN TRIPLE JUMP AT 110TH PENN RELAYS

PHILADELPHIA- Senior co-captain Craig Henry soared to an eighth place finish in the college division of the triple jump as an injury-plagued Temple men's track team competed in the 110th Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field held on April 22-24.
Henry's leap of 14.33 meters or 47-1/4 inch is one of the longest jumps in the Atlantic 10 Conference this season. His eighth place finish was an individual team-high at the prestigious meet.
The Owls' 400-meter relay team of Brian Innis, Jon Albright, Matt Kobialka and Steve Johnson placed fifth out of 11 teams in their section in the 4x400m relay (event 164) with a time of 3:21.89 on Friday April 23. Temple finished ahead of West Chester (Pa.), Lehigh, Bucknell, Millersville, Cheyney and East Stroudsburg. Saint Joseph's won the heat with a time of 3:13.46, followed by Delaware, Kutztown and Lock Haven.
In the 110- meter hurdles Jon Albright placed fifth in his heat and 49th out of 59 competitors with a time of 55.74.
Next the Owls will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships to be held in Richmond, Virginia on May 1-2.
