TEMPLE BASEBALL FINISHES UP SEASON AGAINST XAVIER ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Xavier Musketeers come to town for a three-game series to close out the 2004 baseball season beginning with a doubleheader at Temple's Ambler Field on Thursday at Noon.
Xavier (15-36, 6-15) and Temple (21-25, 8-13) both agreed to finish the regular despite the fact that both teams failed to qualify for the Atlantic 10 playoffs next week in Norwich, Connecticut.
The Owls saw any hopes of making the Atlantic 10 playoffs dashed when Duquesne swept a doubleheader over western division leading George Washington on Sunday while the Owls fell to Fordham, 8-5, earlier on Sunday afternoon.
There has been one change as far as the three-game series goes. On Friday, the two teams will play the third game of the series beginning at 10:00 a.m. instead of Noon.
