Zhen Jia Liu was named to the all-tournament team follwing her performance which was highlighted by a career-best 29 kills while hitting .417 in Temple's five-game loss over IPFW on September 11. She averaged 4.17 kills per game, 2.75 digs per game and hit .333 during the tournament.
Yue Liu had an impressive debut in her first weekend of collegiate competition. In wins over North Dakota State and host Wisconsin-Green Bay, she led the Owls in kills with 14 and 13 respectively. In the loss to IPFW she had 17 kills and 18 digs. On the weekend she posted two double-doubles, hit .317 and averaged 3.67 kills and 3.08 digs.
The Owls (2-4) return to action on September 14 when they travel south to face Delaware (4-2) at the Bob Carpenter Complex. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
