PHILADELPHIA-Junior Candice Dupree averaged 19 points, 10.3 rebounds, three assists, 3.3 blocks and four steals per game to lead Temple to three wins last week and a #24 national ranking and earn her third Big 5 Player of the Week award.
Against LaSalle, Dupree earned her seventh double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and five steals and two blocks to lead Temple over LaSalle and gain a share of the Big 5 crown. Against Fordham, the junior had game highs of four steals and four blocks to go along with her 14 points and nine rebounds. However, it was her performance against #25 Richmond that was her most impressive. Dupree scored a career-high 31 points, including 18 in the first half, and grabbed 12 boards for a 82-62 win. The Owls are currently 15-3, 7-0 in the A-10 and on a 12-game winning streak to tie a program record, held since the 1923-24 season when the Owls finished at 12-0.
