TEMPLE VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS CHARLOTTE, 3-1

- The Temple volleyball team was looking for revenge and revenge they got on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Charlotte 49ers, 3-1, in McGonigle Hall. The 49ers beat the Owls three games to two earlier in the season in Charlotte, accounting for one of Temple's two A-10 losses.  Temple improves to 16-9 overall and 9-2 in Conference play, while the 49ers, who are currently in second place in the A-10 East, fall to 15-13 overall and 7-4 in the A-10.

 

Temple won the first game 30-26 and easily took game 2, 30-19.  The 49ers came back after the break to narrowly defeat the Owls, 30-28, but Temple was able to finish strong and took the fourth game 30-19.

 

Temple continues home play with a match against Philadelphia rival Villanova on Wednesday, November 2 at 7 p.m.
