DUPREE EARNS FIRST A-10 PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR OF 2005 SEASON

PHILADELPHIA-Senior All-America candidate Candice Dupree has been named the Atlantic 10's Player of the Week for the week ending November 19. Dupree averaged 17.3 ppg and 11.3 rpg to lead #21/19 Temple to a 3-0 start.
The 6-2 Tampa, Florida native was awarded the Women's Sports Foundation Tournament's Most Valuable Player after averaging 15.5 ppg and 12.0 rpg in wins over Michigan (11/11) and host Oregon (11/12). She earned her first double-double of the season versus the Ducks with 21 points and 15 rebounds, while adding three steals. Versus Michigan, Dupree chipped in with 10 points and a game- high nine rebounds to go along with five blocked shots. Dupree earned her second double -double in three games to close the week with 21 points and 10 rebounds, leading all scorers in a win over Drexel (11/19).
Temple travels to Penn on Tuesday for a match-up with the Quakers at 7 p.m. at the Palestra.
