SULLIVAN APPROACHES IC4A STANDARDS, D'ADDERIO BREAKS RECORD AT PRINCETON

PRINCETON, NJ - Freshman Jason Sullivan finished sixth in the 500m (1:06.43) and continued to approach IC4A qualifying standards as the Temple men's indoor track team competed at the unscored Princeton's New Year Invitational on Saturday at Jadwin Gym. Junior Dave D'Adderio broke a 28-year school record in the 3000m by running 9:13.98 in the event. The record was previous set by Tom Hurd in 1977 (9:30.00).

Senior Steven Johnson also reached the finals of the 60m dash, placing sixth in a time of 7.02 and finished 14th in the long jump with a leap of 22-3. Freshman Themba Ntini was seventh in the triple jump with a season-best 42-3 1/4 while sophomore Anthony DeJesus put forth a season-best effort in the 1000m (2:48.56).

The meet was the final event of 2005 for the Owls, who return on January 7, 2006 at the Gulden Relays at Bucknell.
