#22 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TRAVELS TO DUQUESNE FOR SUNDAY MATCH-UP

PHILADELPHIA- The #22 Temple women (17-3, 9-0 Atlantic 10) look to continue thier winning ways, making it 15 in a row with an Atlantic 10 match-up at Duquesne University (7-13, 2-7 A-10) on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. The game can be followed via Gamtracker on Duquesne's website, www.goduquesne.com.

Kamesha Hairston poured in a career-high 31 points and hit a last second shot to lead the Owls over the Xavier, 64-62 on Sunday afternoon. Hairston tied her career-high of 16 points in the first half, going eight-for-nine from the field. Candice Dupree chipped in with 17 points and three blocks. The win allowed the Owls (17-3, 9-0 A-10) to stay undefeated in A-10 play and continue their 14-game winning streak. Hairston added a career-high five steals and eight rebounds to her made-for-television performance. She missed just four shots the entire game, going 15-19 from the field. Dupree grabbed seven boards, while Cynthia Jordan scored nine points and earned four steals.

Dupree leads the way for TU with 16.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game to pace three Owls in double figures. She is followed by Jordan (13.4 ppg, 4.50 apg), and Hairston (12.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg).

Temple returns home to host Saint Joseph's on Thursday, February 10th at 7 p.m. and Rhode Island on February 13th at 2 p.m. The URI game will be shown on CN8.

Duquesne an 88-68 to visiting Xavier Friday night at the A.J. Palumbo Center. Junior Maria Stankevich led four Dukes in double figure scoring with 17 points followed by sophomore Loui Hall with 14, junior Aiga Bautre with 13 and freshman Jocelyn Chandler with 11 markers. Chandler led the Dukes and tied the game-lead with seven rebounds.

The Dukes are led by Bautre who is averaging 16.6 ppg and has dished 61 assists. Hall is second with 13.5 ppg, while Sinclair is the leading rebounder with 8.7 rpg. Stankevich leads the squad in blocks (26), while Sinclair is tops in steals (29).
