FOULKROD NAMED A-10 CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK AND ON CBF NATIONAL HONOR ROLL

 PHILADELPHIA-- Junior pitcher Tim Foulkrod has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday and on Tuesday, the College Baseball Foundation cited him on its national honor roll. The right-hander was 2-0 with a 0.59 ERA during the Owls' trip to Florida from March 4-13.

Foulkrod allowed a single earned run in 15.1 innings of work in victories over Florida International and Pittsburgh. Against FIU, the Cheltenham, Pa. native fanned six while allowing an earned run in seven plus innings. He was even better six days later against Pitt, going eight innings without giving up an earned run as Temple beat the Panthers, 2-1 in Boca Raton, Fla.

It is the first time in his career that he has been honored by the A-10. The junior shares the award with Matt Torra of Massachusetts.

The Owls return to the diamond on Tuesday in the home opener against Lehigh. The Liberty Bell Classic contest will begin at 3 p.m. at Ambler Field.
