MEN'S CREW OPENS SEASON AT KEUPER CUP

3.22.05 | Men's Crew

FELLSMERE, FL - Temple Crew opened its season at the Keuper Cup on Saturday, March 12.  The Keuper Cup competition included Stetson University, Embry-Riddle and host Florida Tech.  The Owls performed well claiming a first place finish and four second place finishes.

 

Competition started off with the Varsity 4 event in which Temple A qualified for the final where they raced to a second place finish of 6:43.7 to FIT A with a time of 6:38.5.  The Temple JV 8 was the only first place finish for the day with a time of 6:11.5 over FIT 6:20.5.  The Varsity 8 took second with a time of 6:04.7 behind FIT with the winning time of 5:57.3.  

 

The novice squad captured two second place finishes. The four of John Peterson, Nick Vlahos, Jason Hart, Pat White, and Dante Castellani took second place behind FIT A with a time of 7:13.2.  The Novice 8 of Peterson, Tim Malloy, Cyrus Haines, Vlahos, Hart, White, and Ben Carroll captured second in the Third varsity 8 event with a time of 6:39.3.
