4X100 RELAY REACHES IC4A IN SEASON-OPENING QUAKER INVITATIONAL

PHILADELPHIA -- The 4x100 relay reached IC4A qualifying standards as the Temple men's track team opened its outdoor season on Saturday at the Quaker Invitational at the University of Pennsylvania. The quartet, which ran a time of 41.78, was comprised of freshman Scott Facey, junior David Jackson, senior Steven Johnson and freshman Marcos Edghill.
Johnson also turned in an impressive showing individually, finishing third in the 200m in a time of 22.70. Freshman Tim Jones was fourth in the 100m (11.75) and Facey placed fifth in the 400m in a time of 50.24. In the high jump, junior Andrew Schultz finished third by clearing 6'0".
Temple returns to action on Saturday at the Maryland Invitational in College Park, Md.
