4X400 RELAY MEETS ECAC STANDARDS AT TERRIER CLASSIC

BOSTON, MA - The 4x400 relay of junior Tynisha Gardner, sophomore Shanice DePass, and freshmen Devon DuPont and Brittani Adams qualified for the ECAC Championships by running a 3:52.62 at the Terrier Classic at Boston University on Saturday. The quartet finished sixth in the event as the women's indoor track team split its squad between BU and the Bucknell Bison Open.
Gardner continued to extend her range to the short sprints this weekend, running both the 55m and 200m dashes. She ran a season-best in the 55m (7.42) to place 12th while her time of 25.63 was good for 13th in the 200m.
Adams also finished 13th in the 400m (59.14) while DePass had a season-best time of 1:16.72 in the 500m to place 16th. Sophomore Noelle McKenzie also tied a season-best by running a 3:04.27 in the 1000m.
At Bucknell, freshman Amanda Cole set a new season-best in the weight throw (43-1). Delicia Sample won the 500m in 1:21.95 and Shavaun Christian took the high jump in 5-3.
Temple returns to the New York City Armory next weekend for the New Balance Games next weekend. It is the last tuneup for the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championship on February 18 at Rhode Island.
