MEN'S INDOOR TRACK SPLITS SQUAD AT TERRIER CLASSIC AND BISON OPEN

BOSTON, MA - Season-bests by two middle distance runners and a new school record in the weight throw highlighted the men's indoor track and field team's weekend at the Terrier Classic and Bison Open, respectively. Senior Matt Kobialka ran the first sub-2:00 time in the 800m (1:59.31) and junior Dave D'Addario ran a 4:24.35 mile at Boston University. At Bucknell, freshman Bryce Buffaloe bettered his weight throw record, set earlier this season, with a distance of 52-2.
Other top showings at the Terrier Classic included two season-best times by senior Steven Johnson. He ran a 6.71 in the 55m dash and a 22.65 in the 200m dash. Freshman Mitch Stroh also was impressive in the 500m, running a 1:06.82 to finish 23rd.
At the Bison Open, Buffaloe finished second in the weight throw and seventh in the shot put with a season-best 46-5 1/2. Freshman David Humenansky was fifth in the long jump (20-7) and Thimba Ntini placed fourth in the triple jump (42-11 1/2).
Temple travels back to the New York City Armory next weekend for the New Balance Games. It is the final tuneup before the Atlantic 10 Championship on February 18 at Rhode Island.
