Strong Showing For Men at Navy Day Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's crew teams first meet of the season was a successful one, with three of Temple's squads finishing in the top five of their respective races. The men's varsity eight placed 4th with a time of 13:26.20 and consists of Rory Roberts (coxswain), Tom Haubrich (stroke), Bob Protesto (7-seat), Dante Cammarata (6), James Harding (5), Scott Herring (4), Nick Vlahos (3), Chris Bushek (2), and Don Powers (bow).
The men's JV eight placed 1st with a time of 14:16.30 and consists of Tom Goldner (coxswain), Sam Cunningham (stroke), Tim Malloy (7), Bill Gennaro (6), Erik Alexander (5), Brendan Uhll (4), Matt Hanlin (3), Will Weaver (2), and Aaron McHargue (bow).
The men's varsity four "A" team placed 3rd with a time of 15:25.10 and consists of Mike Berger (coxswain), Tom Haubrich (stroke), Bob Protesto (3), Dante Cammarata (2), and James Harding (bow).
The men's varsity four "B" team placed 16th with a time of 17:15.80 and con-sists of Jim Baraldi (coxswain), Brendan Cunningham (stroke), Brad Long (3), James Beebe (2), and Rich Moore (bow).
The Owls will now travel to Boston, Massachusetts to take place in The Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, October 22.
