Temple Loses To Fordham For The First Time In School History

BRONX, NY - Temple traveled to Fordham and was defeated, 3-0, for the first time in school history. TU fell with game scores of 30-16, 30-23 and 30-14.
Junior Yue Liu led the team with 11 kills and 10 digs. TU only posted 27 kills on the night with Maira Mogollon dishing out 13 assists. Junior Christina DeMarco added eight kills and two blocks, while senior Yan Liu had nine digs on the defensive end.
The Rams out powered the Owls with 42 kills and 11 blocks. Tasha Johnston led the way with 13 kills and 10 digs with Jamee Stimson (eight) and Marija Markovic (nine) also contributed on the offensive end. Markovic also added one solo block and five block assists.
With only their second conference win, Fordham improves to over .500 with a 15-14 overall record. Temple drops to 6-4 in the A-10 and14-11 overall.
Temple heads back to Philadelphia to play at Villanova Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7:00 pm.
