Dayton - Temple's three-game win streak came to an end Friday night with a 3-0 loss at Dayton. The Flyers took the games with the scores being 30-25, 30-24, 30-21.
Junior Yue Liu led the Owls with 15 kills and eight digs. At the net, junior Christina DeMarco added nine kills and two blocks while junior Ying Sun Ling made eight kills and freshman Glory Epelle stepped up, contributing six kills and one block. Ying Sun Ling led the Owls with 11 digs and four aces.
The Flyers out-hit the Cherry and White, 52-45, with Faye Barhorst (15) and Nicole Bateman (14) leading the way for Dayton. Robynne Green added five blocks.
Temple is now 3-2 in the conference (10-9 overall). Dayton stays undefeated in the A-10 at 4-0 (14-5 overall).
TU takes the floor tomorrow night against Xavier (7:00 p.m.).
