Owls Wrap Up Season at IC4A Championships

BRONX, NY - The Temple men's cross country team concluded its 2006 campaign with a 18th place showing at the IC4A Championship on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park. Sophomore Adin Mickle led the way for the Owls, covering the five-mile course in a time of 27:09.8 to place 34th. Sophomore Adam Moffit was the next TU runner to cross the finish line, placing 119th in a time of 28:59.6.
Senior Dave D'Addario (131st, 29:30.7), sophomore Jim Waddington (139th, 29:52.2) and freshman Kyle Fekete (144th, 30:05.2) wrapped up the top five for the Cherry and White.
Fordham won the team championship with 61 points, edging Binghamton (140) and Army (142). Jamie Julia-Perez of Adelphia won the individual title in a time of 25:49.8.
The championship race was won by William and Mary. James Madison's Charles Moran won the individual title in a time of 24:38.1.
Temple, which reinstated the sport last fall after a 20-year hiatus, finished 13th at the Atlantic 10 Championships.
