Mickle Breaks School Record in 3,000m at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - Sophomore Adin Mickle set a new school record in the indoor 3,000m as the Owls competed at the Princeton Invitational on Friday. Mickle ran a time of 9:11.35 to finish sixth in the event and broke teammate Dave D'Addario's record of 9:13.98 set last season. Freshman Rob McGriff approached IC4A qualifying standards with his third place finish in the 60m dash (7.05).
Junior Marcos Edghill (8.40) and sophomore Joshua Louis (8.44) finished second and fifth, respectively, in the 60m hurdles prelims. Louis also neared IC4A qualifying standards with a personal best high jump of 6-8 to finish third.
Freshman Tim Boeni, the reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week, improved his long jump to 22-9 and finished third. Freshman Matt Mello was sixth in the 1000m (2:47.90).
Temple is back in action after the semester break on January 12 at the NYC Gotham Cup.
