DOLAN NAMED ATLANTIC 10 AND ECAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA -- Sophomore Tom Dolan has been named the Atlantic 10 and ECAC Pitcher of the Week, the conference offices announced on this week. The southpaw threw seven shutout innings, allowed only two hits and struck out a career-high eight batters in a 5-2 win over Penn on Wednesday.
Dolan was nearly un-hittable on the cold and windy day in Ambler. He retired the first eight batters and the last nine batters and faced just one over the minimum for seven innings. The victory was the first in his collegiate career.
He is now 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA for the season. In 11 innings, Dolan has struck out 13 batters and walked just one.
Temple (5-10) visits La Salle on Tuesday in the first round of the Liberty Bell Classic. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
