SELLEN NAMED ATLANTIC 10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

PHILADELPHIA -- Freshman Casey Sellen has been named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for baseball, the conference office announced today. He batted .412 in five games last week and helped Temple to its first A-10 series victory of the season by taking two games at Massachusetts. It is the first time in his career that he has been honored.

Sellen hit safely in all five games last week, beginning with a 1-for-3 performance at Villanova on Tuesday. His best game was a 2-for-4 showing at Massachusetts on Sunday, which included a double and RBI. For the week, he drove in two runs and also stole two bases.

Temple (9-32, 3-13 A-10) travels to Lafayette in non-conference action on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
