PHILADELPHIA -- Head Coach Bob Bertucci and the Temple Volleyball team have announced their 2006 schedule. The Owls are coming off a 23-13 record and a second place finish in the Atlantic 10 in 2005. Temple will host two tournaments, the Temple Invitational, held August 25 and 26 and the Temple Classic. Lehigh, Iona, and Cleveland State will all come to play in the Invitational, while Kansas, Rutgers, and Maine will see action in the Temple Classic on September 1-2.
Temple will participate in the Utah Classic September 8-9 against Utah, Missouri State and Utah State and will also play in the Albany Tournament September 15-16. TU will face Middle Tennessee, Albany and Syracuse in New York. Bucknell and Army highlight other non-conference competition.
The Owls will travel to Dayton, the 2005 Atlantic 10 champions, on October 6. Other Atlantic 10 road trips for the Owls will be Duquesne, Saint Louis, Xavier, Fordham, La Salle, Charlotte, and George Washington. The Owls will host Fordham, Rhode Island, George Washington, Charlotte, and La Salle. They will participate in the Atlantic 10 Tournament November 17 and 18 in Dayton, Ohio.
