PHILADELPHIA - Temple continued its dominance of Fordham in volleyball, defeating the visiting Rams for the 23rd straight time to win in its first home conference match, 3-1.  Junior Yue Liu led the way for the Owls with game-highs in kills (21) and digs (18). The Rams and the Owls battled it out with game scores of 30-22, 30-32, 30-23, 33-31.

The combination of sophomore Patricia Vernon and freshman Jackie Morrison was a big presence at the net, combining for three blocks. Vernon also added 14 kills and three solo blocks and junior Christina DeMarco contributed 10 kills and four blocks. Senior Maira Mogollon dished out 43 assists and led the team with four service aces.

Marija Markovic led the Rams with 20 kills while Jamee Stimson made her 1,000th career kill. Stephanie Frost also reached a milestone for the Rams as she made her 1,000th career dig.

Temple improves its conference record to 8-8 overall and 2-1 in A-10 play. Fordham is 13-7 and 0-1 in the conference.

The Owls host the Rhode Island Rams Satutrday at 4:00 p.m.
