Edghill Leads Owls To 12th Place Finish At Great Dane Classic

NEW YORK, NY - Junior Marcos Edghill finished sixth in the 55m hurdles (7.73) and 16th in the 55m dash (6.62) to lead Temple to a 12th place showing at the Great Dane Classic at the New York City 168th Street Armory on Friday. Sophomore Joshua Louis also posted two top 10 finishes, placing third in the high jump (6-7) and ninth in the 55m hurdles (7.82).
Junior Marquise Stancil was ninth in the 400m (50.08) and Freshman Rob McGriff was 16th in the 55m dash (6.55) and 25th in the 200m (22.81), both season-bests and close to IC4A standards. Freshman Adam Hegal was sixth in the long jump (22-8).
In the throws, sophomore Bryce Buffaloe was seventh in the weight throw (51-0 1/4).
Penn won the event with 122 points, followed by host Albany (107) and Rutgers (88.5).
Temple returns to action next weekend at the Terrier Classic at Boston University.
