PHILADELPHIA-After leading the Owls to a 1-1 record over the weekend, defensive specialist/setter Ariel Pierre was voted the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 30.

Pierre dished 86 assists (10.75 apg) over the weekend, posting match-highs in each match (42 and 45). In their hard-fought 3-2 loss to GW on Sept. 28, she posted a double-double of 20 digs and 42 assists. Pierre then went on to shutout Charlotte on Sept. 30 with 45 assists and seven digs in three games.

Temple returns home after a month-long road stand to face 15th-ranked Dayton and powerhouse Xavier this weekend.
