Comfort And Eaddy Voted To Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference Teams

PHILADELPHIA- Senior center Lady Comfort and sophomore guard LaKeisha Eaddy were named to the Preseason All Atlantic-10 First and Third Teams, respectively, according to a poll conducted by the A-10 head coaches and select media. As a eam, Temple was picked to finish fourth.
Voted the A-10's and Big Five's Most Improved Player, Comfort was Temple's second leading scorer with a 12.7 points per game average. She was also second on the team in rebounds with 6.8 boards per game. The junior posted a career-high of 26 points versus Rhode Island (1/26), grabbed a career-high tying 13 rebounds on three different occasions. She was also voted to the Conference's Second Team.
An All-Rookie Team selection, Eaddy averaged 6.7 ppg and 2.7 rpg in 33 starts for the Owls. After becoming the first freshman to start in the Staley era, the Columbia, Md. native led Temple in assists (116) and finished third in the A-10 in helpers and assist to turnover ratio (1.60). Known mostly for her defensive skills, Eaddy also proved that she can score, leading the Owls to a win over Villanova with a career-high 20 points and five assists. She was also the Big Five Rookie of the Year.
Temple (25-8) was last year's regular season runner-up after posting a 13-1 record in A-10 play.
